Course Overview

Students will engage in a multi-disciplined training programme stretching themselves as actors, singers and dancers, allowing for a seamless combination of performance skills required for the industry.

Our outstanding Level 6 Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre, awarded by Trinity College London is designed to allow students to develop their skills and be thee best performer they want to be.

Year One

Year one will focus on developing core techniques in singing, acting and dance allowing students to build on their underpinning performance skills. Class work follows a demanding structure, allowing strength and consistency to develop. All first year students take part in the end of year production, allowing them to demonstrate techniques developed throughout the year.

Year Two

Year two starts to blend the application of techniques to performance and challenges students to push the boundaries in all areas of their training. Second year students take part in a full length in-house musical to allow students to develop the understanding of performance in practice. Class work focuses more on developing integrated practice, with masterclasses featuring more heavily in the timetable.

Year Three

Third year students focus mainly on performance, allowing students to use all the skills they have developed from years one and two. Those who reach the required standard in the second semester will be given the opportunity to perform in our Agent Showcase at Pineapple Studios in London's West End.

Students will also take part in a fully staged musical learning to cope with the demands of live theatre. Students work on an integrated performance for their final assessment, demonstrating the application of all techniques throughout the course. Industry professionals take regular audition classes at the college, giving students up-to-date information of what is required of them in the industry.

Perform

Throughout your training, you will regularly perform in workshops, musicals and showcases. Plus, at the end of each year you will perform in our annual end-of-year show at a top theatre.

Private Singing Lessons

Each week you will receive a 30-minute private singing lesson with a professional vocal coach.

Agent Showcase

In your third year you will audition for a panel of agents and industry professionals at the renowned Pineapple Studios in London.

Industry Standard Training

You will work with expert, industry professionals who know what it takes to get you where you want to go.

Practical Training

Acting, singing and dancing. All day, everyday. It's that simple.

Fees

Tuition Fees 2024/2025

£12,000 per year.

Dance and Drama Awards (DaDA)

The Dance and Drama Awards (DaDA) are scholarships funded by the EFSA (Education and Skills Funding Agency), and students from the UK and EU may be eligible.

These awards are offered by selected schools to the students displaying the most potential to succeed in the profession. Only students taking an approved Trinity College London qualification will be eligible to be considered for an award.

The Dance and Drama Awards are scholarships that are income assessed and may offer reduced tuition fees and support with living costs.
