One of the UK's leading training grounds for young, artistic performing talent

This course is designed for the student who wishes to have a career in the theatre as a dancer with the additional skills of Singing and Drama.

FDI options of ballet, tap or modern are available for all students.

The 2-Year Course is designed for a student who is entering the College at year 2 level with either: 1-year's previous training or who has attained a high level of training with experience of performance prior to entry. The course includes 6 week induction in all dance techniques.

There are only a limited number of Dance Awards and SLP Scholarships available for this course.

This one year basic course is for students who have not attained the required standard to allow them entry to the Accredited course, but show the necessary potential for a future in the theatre.

They will receive specialised tuition that will enable them to develop all areas of performance and technique, the emphasis being on Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap, Fitness and Singing. This will help them to reach the required standard for entry onto the three-year course.

Student requirements are assessed individually to determine the content of the course.

Applications are welcomed from boys and girls aged 9 years upwards

Junior Associate Days are usually held on the second Sunday in the month, three times per term and are aimed to complement dancing classes already taken with your local dance school. Classes include: Musical Theatre, Jazz, Tap and Classical Ballet. The Junior Associate Days also include specialist boys’ Jazz classes.

This is an ideal opportunity for students to sample and experience professional level classes and mix within a college environment without the need to travel to the South of England. Scholarships may be offered to students with outstanding potential. Applications are welcomed from ethnic minorities and pupils with disabilities for whom we have a limited amount of extra funding available from the government and awarded directly through the College.

Junior Associate Days for 2006/7: 8 October, 12 November, 3 December 2006;
14 January, 4 February, 11 March 2007. Summer term dates TBA.
