Students on this course will be provided
with training and development to suitably
qualify them in all aspects of Musical Theatre.
The aim of the course is to supply a system
of formal recognition for the skills, knowledge
& understanding required by students
in their pursuit of employment as professional
dancers.
On completion of the course a student will
be able to perform at their own highest
level, thus providing the student with the
skills to attain their own personal
aspirations in their chosen career.
The course is designed so that students
benefit not only from the performance studies,
but also from contextual studies, enabling
the student to strengthen their chosen field
and broaden their educational development.
Students will have:
- developed imaginative, expressive and
technical skills as a creative artist
- acquired professional employment skills
and a relevant knowledge of the
industry
- developed a command of their subject
by critical reflection and appraisal
based on technical and contextual studies
and in practice
- developed personal skills and qualities
which will enhance their
professional and personal lives
- gained an education so as to be prepared
to secure and maintain themselves
in varying careers in the professional
arts and entertainment industry.
All students have Performance opportunities
throughout the course.

Guidance and encouragement in all aspects
of their College life helps to develop a
well-balanced student.
This course is very demanding and requires
students to have self discipline and dedication
to develop their dance, singing and drama
studies. Should a student feel, however,
that they are able to take on additional
studies, FDI
examinations in at least 3 subjects are
offered at all levels.
