Auditions & Admissions

Entry to the college is by audition only. SLP College accepts students who have completed their GCSE studies, or equivalent prior to entry. All applicants need talent and potential as a Musical Theatre performer, with a desire to learn and a passion to succeed.

Students will need to be able to demonstrate an ability to sing and act, and have a good level of competency in Classical Ballet and Modern/Jazz is preferred. However, a student showing an exceptionally high level of competency and/ or potential in any of the genres for Musical Theatre will be seriously considered.

Auditions are held between October and June proceeding entry. Students will be required to take part in Ballet, Jazz and Musical Theatre Classes. Each student will be required to have an interview with the panel and perform a song of their own choice, plus a dance in any medium except Ballet, not exceeding 1 ½ minutes.

Full details of our criteria for acceptance, marking scheme and audition procedures will be sent to students on receipt of a completed College Application Form and the appropriate fee.
