Miss Rachel Pease ARAD, AISTD, (BB) Dist (TB) Dist (MB) Dist

Teacher of Ballet at all levels, Jazz and Tap.  Having trained at SLP, she obtained all her exams to Advanced 2 level and Teaching Qualifications.  From the College she went straight into 42nd Street and as a professional dancer she has performed throughout the world.

Miss Sophie Robinson ARAD, AISTD

Teacher of Free Ballet, Grades and RAD Majors. Sophie was accepted into the Royal Ballet School at the age of 11 and continued to train classically before graduating from the London Studio Centre. She has worked worldwide, appearing in various shows and pantomimes and the Royal Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.

Teacher of Jazz and specialist Boys’ Coach. Principal Dancer and Choreographer for West End shows, Pop promos, Film and Television. Internationally renowned teacher. Trained at the London School of Contemporary Dance.

Mr Darren Charles

Teacher of Jazz, specialising in Commercial and Musical Theatre. Performing worldwide, including the West End. Television Dance credits include the Royal Variety Show and the Brit Awards, Song & Dance with Wayne Sleep, Fame and Notre Dame de Paris. Extensive experience as a Choreographer, including for his own company, he has also worked with the Chinese in preparation of the 2008 Olympic Games.

Teacher of Jazz, Ballet and Tap all levels. Former Professional dancer she toured with 42nd Street and has appeared in pantomimes with Wayne Sleep. Rachel has also performed throughout the world.

Teacher of Jazz, Tap and Modern. Coach for the Foundation Course. Year Tutor for Year 2. Performing experience in Pantomimes, Ballet, Television and Promotional work.

Miss Jenny Finney AISTD Freestyle Dist

Teacher of Jazz. Miss Finney trained at the Urdang Academy has had a colourful career as a dancer for many MTV music videos and concert tours, dancing with Britney Spears, Westlife and Five. She is also an accomplished make-up artist for TV and theatre.

Miss Kelly Clayton

Teacher of Jazz. Miss Clayton has had a very diverse career with credits including P&O Cruises, pantomimes, ‘Mystique’, television work, modelling and choreography for television and theatre shows in the UK and Australia.

Miss Michelle Blair

Teacher of Musical Theatre Repertoire and Jazz.  Performer, Director and Choreographer.  Performed throughout the UK in theatre and worked on television.  Credits include ‘Doctor Doolittle’, ‘Snoopy the Musical’, ‘Carmen’ and Michelle has worked with many celebrities.

Teacher of Musical Theatre. Born and raised in Australia, Edwina has appeared in many shows both in Australia and in the West End, including Chicago and Sunset Boulevard.

Mr Martin Saxton

Teacher of Voice and Acting.  Martin is an experienced Acting Tutor he has worked with community groups, in schools, colleges and universities in the UK and Europe.  He has a degree in Drama and English from Hull University and the Teacher’s Diploma (Speech & Drama) from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.  He specialises in leading acting, communication skills workshops and turning the spoken/written word into performance.  Martin is an experienced actor in both theatre and TV.

Miss Emma Lindop BA(Hons)

Teacher of Drama and LAMDA with a BA Hons Drama Degree in Theatre, Film and Television from University of Bristol.

Experienced in teaching of all age groups from primary to youth theatre. Skills include improvisation, speech and sight reading.

Teacher of Drama with a BA Hons Degree in Theatre Acting from the University of Leeds. Experienced in teaching all age groups.

Mr Andy Smith Musical Director

Experienced Musical Director working on many West End shows including Disney’s The Lion King and We Will Rock You and countless shows around the country, having recently just completed the sell-out UK tour of Aspects of Love with David Essex. He has worked extensively casting and rehearsing for shows such as Mamma Mia and Billy Elliot to name a few and has worked with music artists such as Brian May and Mica Paris. Television work includes Fame Academy and GMTV. Andy now joins us as the full-time Musical Director for SLP College.

Classical Tenor Vocalist and Lecturer in Performing Arts. Vocal Consultant and Musical Supervisor. Teacher of Voice Anatomy, Physiology and Rehabilitation, Technique, Repertoire and Interpretation. Former member of the National Youth Choir of Great Britain and previous winner of the Mario Lanza Awards’ 1st Prize. Performs throughout the UK and abroad.
