One of the UK's leading training grounds for young, artistic performing talent

SLP College Leeds is a College for Performing Arts, specialising in Musical Theatre, sited in Garforth – about 5 miles from the centre of Leeds.

It was established in 1991 by the Principal, Sandra Reid in a large, sympathetically converted chapel which has been further developed and extended in recent years to provide excellent facilities, including a large gymnasium/pilates studio with full female/male shower facilities and locker rooms. A physiotherapy room with access to most areas  that is user friendly for the disabled.

We welcome students from diverse backgrounds regardless of  race, previous training or disability  provided that they show potential for the Course offered.

Miss Reid’s vision was to offer talented students from all walks of life the opportunity to train in the North of England, regardless of their financial circumstances.  Since its establishment the College has flourished and currently has 20 regular teachers with guest teachers for Jazz, Singing and Drama visiting regularly.

All Staff are former professional performers or examiners of the ISTD/RAD Following a very successful Ofsted inspection in February 2005 the College has secured continued government funding of Dance and Drama Awards, whilst still offering a limited number of SLP funded scholarships.

The College aims to produce students who realise their full potential as versatile performers whilst retaining their individuality and nourishing their creative spirit.
